Our Mission
To empower ministries, non-profits, and small businesses
to achieve their full potential
while remaining steadfast to their core mission.
WHAT WE DO
We offer process improvement consultation, advice, and training to non-profit organizations. Our training sessions are held in-person where we work with key staff members to show them how to align the work they do with the stated goals of the organization. WHY WE DO IT
After witnessing the transformation of the software industry over the last 20 years, we decided that the innovations that brought about these changes were no longer limited to software companies. Any organization with 2+ people and a goal in mind can benefit from working together in unison to meet that goal. Click below to find out more!
HOW WE DO IT
Our services are free for churches, ministries, non-profits, and even some small businesses, who can’t afford professional consultations. To make this possible, we rely on the generosity of people and organizations like you, who believe that by serving those who serve, we can make an even greater impact in the world around us. About Us
Meet our Founder
Brian Williams has worked in the IT industry for over 20 years and he has specialized in Value Stream Management and Process Improvement. After witnessing the software industry being transformed by Agile Development, Scrum, and Lean IT, he decided that these innovations were no longer limited to software companies. He believed that the improvements seen in these companies could, and should, be transferred to the non-profit sector. He has made it his mission to help non-profit organizations and ministries, by providing free Process Improvement consultations that they may not be able to afford otherwise. At Persistent Geeks, we serve those who serve.

Serving those who serve
Alignment
First, we check your team’s alignment to your stated vision. Using a variety of exercises, we can gain a corporate understanding of how aligned your team is to the same overall vision.
Goals
Once we have a CLEAR understanding of what the team is working toward, we identify goals. We don’t just set the goals; we will identify how progress toward these goals will be measured.
Data
We use data to categorize your work into different types of value. How you define what “value” is for your team is up to you.
Once defined and categorized, you will start to see the effect of the work you do, and that will give you data-driven insights into the TYPE of work that brings your team the most value.
Work
We use a process called “kanban” to track work. This is a tried-and-true method of making work visible to both management as well as the front-line workers. Keeping track of work on a kanban board will ensure nothing gets forgotten.
Value
A Value Stream is a representation of every single activity and dependent process that is involved in the delivery of your product or service.
When you look at your work as part of a Value Stream, you may find that there is a lot done that isn’t aligned with the goals and values of the Organization. This is a great time to re-examine the need for these activities.
Gemba
The Gemba Walk is where the leaders get in touch with the front-line workers to find out how things REALLY work. It also gives the workers a chance to voice their observations and concerns to their leaders.
Improve
“Don’t let PERFECT get in the way of PROGRESS.”
The idea is that it’s always better to make progress TOWARD perfection rather than always expecting it. We’ll discuss industry standard methods on how to regularly take time to assess your progress, readjust your plan, and maximize your chances of meeting your goals.
